Overview
As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for developing large multi-machine systems. You will program PLCs, HMIs, and robots for cam-operated, indexing machines with numerous servo axes. Additionally, you will guide electricians on wiring and codes, debug systems on the production floor, and assist with machine re-commissioning at customer sites both domestically and internationally.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop robust and efficient architecture for control systems, including complex, multi-machine setups.
- Program PLCs, HMIs, and robots for intricate applications, such as cam-operated and indexing machines with numerous servo axes.
- Collaborate with electricians, providing guidance on wiring and code compliance.
- Conduct thorough debugging and functional verification on the production floor, culminating in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Engage in domestic and international travel to assist in machine re-commissioning at customer sites, ensuring successful Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of standards and processes by working closely with fellow engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering-related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on automation experience.
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and Servo Control systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (10-25%)
