About the Job
CFD Research Corporation is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the design, development and integration of complex systems for our customers. In this role you will support both rapid prototyping and detailed hardware development. This individual will work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and support all aspects of control system design, development and test. This role is based out of our Engineering Test Center in Hollywood, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience in Rockwell Automation PLC hardware and control system automation.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Position
- Electrical system design, layout, integration and test
- Testing and debugging of PLC control system
- Modification to software and hardware for control system
- Implementing control system best practices
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or other relevant STEM degree
- Current Department of Defense Security Clearance or capable of obtaining
Other Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Comfortable working in a prototyping environment
- Proficiency in Rockwell Automation PLC Programming
- Experience in developing and interpreting P&ID diagram
- Working knowledge of Studio 5000 and Factory Talk software
- Knowledge of applicable safety and design codes
Location: This individual will work onsite at our Engineering Testing Facility in Hollywood, AL.
