Selectek has an immediate need for a Controls Engineer to join our team in Germantown, WI.
Required:
Essential job functions and experience needed:
1) Rockwell PLC programming (Studio 5000)
2) Rockwell HMI programming (Factory Talk View ME)
3) Schematics design (AutoCAD or Solidworks Electrical)
4) Specifying controls parts for a machine (BOM)
5) Designing control panel layouts
6) Troubleshooting skills (hardware and software)
7) Some technical writing of manuals
8) 4-year engineering degree

- Electrical Engineering degree from a four-year college or university
- 0 - 5 years of related experience. Entry-level with some experience.
- Knowledge and experience programming Rockwell PLCs (Studio 5000) & Rockwell HMIs (Factory Talk View ME)
- Experience with AutoCAD, Solid Works Electrical a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:
- Designs controls equipment, components, products, and systems for converting industry machinery.
- Drafts using CAD schematics and layouts for controls, instruments, and systems for converting industry machinery under the guidance of the lead project engineer. Plans will typically be for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls and drive systems.
- Assists with activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
- Updates and archives drawings and schematics.
- Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform design and documentation tasks. This will include a bill of materials, CAD drawings, interconnect spreadsheets, and manual documents.
- Uses Rockwell software for PLC and operator interface development and system checkout under the guidance of the lead engineer. Training on Rockwell software will be provided.
- Follows and adheres to electrical industry standards such as NFPA 70 and 79.
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Pay Rate:
- $32/hr. $42/hr.
- Monday- Friday
- 4 days (10 hours shift) OR 5 days (8 hours shift)
- 6 Months temp to perm.
