Selectek is partnering with a company located in Eufaula, Alabama to fill a Controls Engineer role on a contract-to-direct basis. This client is seeking an experienced candidate to function in a hands-on role including project design, commissioning, and start-up of automation systems.
Employment Type: Contract-To-Direct
Expected Pay Range: $38- $50 per hour before conversion, depending on experience
Location: Eufaula, AL
Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or electrical engineering technology
5 plus years of experience developing, programing and testing electric control systems for a manufacturing facility
PLC & Motion Control programing, testing and debugging experience
Design & layout experience including power distribution, I/O devices, sensors, etc
Hands on troubleshooting skills
In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the clients request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Details:
Maintains electrical control systems on production equipment. Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of electrical components, equipment and machinery. Reads schematics and layouts and supports best design protocol and analysis. Contributes to the team with a proven knowledge applicable to one or more of the following fields: analog and digital sensors, PLC Controls, software design and development, and pneumatic controls.
Provides production support to maintain quality and production output to budgets. Troubleshoots and designs solutions to improve equipment reliability.
Produces project documentation that includes prints, engineering files, supplier communications and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
Assists Operations, R&D, Quality, and outside suppliers through new product development stages of new products, process methods, assembly plans.
May manage smaller to moderately complex projects from concept, design, and through completion. Develops timelines and ensure project success by maintaining timeline targets, budget responsibilities and quality requirements.
Schedule: Monday Friday, normal work hours.
