Job Details

Responsibilities:

Take initiative to meet challenging project timelines and hour budgets;
Take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities for project success;
Write and debug effective and safe control programs, which meet end user requirements and company expectations;
Work with Robotic Programmers and HMI Programmers to ensure full functionality of the system;
Maintain quality of equipment shipped;
Ensure control programming of equipment and tooling is complete, safe, and functional;
Meet requirements for internal runoffs, safety inspections, and other quality control procedures;
Clear communication with project management staff and supervisors on issues that may arise;
Debugging of electrical and mechanical systems as needed for operation of all machines;
Effective communication with robotic programmers regarding necessary requirements to ensure a project runs smoothly;
Uphold company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives;
Willingness to travel as required

Experience / Skills:

High attention to detail and quality;
Ability to plan and execute daily and weekly scheduled tasks;
Ability to keep work area clean and organized;
Willingness and ability to follow directions from peers within the Integration department;
Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills;
Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes;
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent; or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science; or equivalent with experience will be considered;
5+ years’ experience in PLC programming;
Machine programming (PLC/HMI) experience - Rockwell, GE;
Safety system programming and troubleshooting experience;
Network programming and troubleshooting experience;
Experience in robotic welding (MIG, TIG, laser, spot) preferred;
Commitment to company values; and
Educational, training and experience requirements may be modified at the management team’s discretion.

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards.

Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S):

Understand the Company’s EH&S policy and how it relates to this job;
Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this job;
Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EH&S procedures;
Attend required EH&S training.
