Controls Account Executive: Responsible for building relationships with governmental, institutional, and health care network executives and facility managers, as well industrial and commercial building owners and operators, in order to sell into these vertical markets.
Essential Duties:
- Contributes to the account management process for assigned account portfolio, which includes development of client account profiles, account strategies, service delivery plan, client budget planning, and scheduled business reviews with all assigned accounts
- Positions Boland as a full service controls company within the market. Develops relationships with clients to make Boland the controls partner of choice.
- Develops and implements client account and territory sales plans designed to qualify sales opportunities and prioritize efforts
- Identifies and communicates issues, business goals, and objectives to sales management for all assigned accounts
- Calls on individuals responsible for purchasing, operating, and maintaining building automation systems, including Executive / C-Suite as required
- Follows an effective sales process that includes targeting, qualifying, identifying client needs, communicating vision, up-front contracts, developing solutions, presenting benefits, and closing the sale
- Identifies opportunities by evaluating building system improvements and services that can help clients achieve successful business (economic) outcomes and solve related problems
- Inspires clients to take action by creating and communicating a vision based on real outcomes of a successfully implemented project
- Works effectively with supporting team members including other salespersons, project developers, project managers, and client service representatives
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a minimum 5 years of experience in industry related (HVAC, Controls) sales
- Must have valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
- Preferred experience developing new markets for an established and successfully growing business, as well as continuously strives to create win-win outcomes that improve our clients' business and create long-term and value-based partnerships.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Mobility within the office and job sites
- Willing to travel locally as required, frequent visits to job sites and able to climb ladders
- Ability to lift 25 pounds on an occasional basis
