Controller – REMOTE 990 Consultant

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is a nonprofit in the DC area looking to bring in a Controller to work remotely to assist with a 990 project.
• Location: REMOTE
• Hours: 6 hour days / 5 days a week
• Pay: $55-65/hr depending on experience.
• Duration: 3-4 weeks

Overview of the Controller role:

• Coordinate with all stakeholders on the collection of information that will be used to prepare the 990 form.
• Gain understanding of the JAMIS accounting data and reporting parameters to the extent needed for completing the form.
• Support the Controller in generating the required schedules using available data.
• Provide expertise on an as needed basis.

Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
• JAMIS experience is a plus
• Advanced Excel Skills – Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
