A South Bay manufacturer is looking for a Controller to join their team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, maintain controls, and financial reporting. To be successful in this role, the Controller should be able to work in a high-growth and fast-paced environment, have strong leadership skills, and be able to work in a diverse working environment. What do you need for this Controller role?
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 15+ years of accounting experience
• Active CPA license
• Industry related experience
What will you do in this Controller role?
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Manage month-end close
• Lead the accounting team
• Review AP, AR, and maintain the GL
• Oversee inventory valuation and reconciliation
• Analyze inventory costs
• Develop and maintain internal controls
• Create, review, and put into place systems, procedures and policies that promote efficiency and accuracy
• Lead the financial statement audit
• Assist with strategic initiatives
