This role will demand an individual who is capable of managing the financial health of our company, overseeing the production of financial reports, and developing strategies based on financial research. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding our financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. This position requires a professional with a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and an ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Preserve and maintain control of the general ledger, cost accounting, and year-end close processes.
3. Regularly prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation.
4. Conduct overhead allocations, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis to support company's financial planning.
5. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
6. Manage vendor contracting, including negotiation of contracts and making strategic decisions about vendor relationships.
7. Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
8. Communicate financial metrics to senior management and provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
9. Work closely with senior leadership to streamline processes, enhance systems, and optimize company's financial performance.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A CPA designation is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. Proven experience with general ledger functions, cost accounting, year-end close processes, journal entries, overhead allocations, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
4. Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
5. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
6. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
7. An ability to strategize and solve problems.
8. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
9. Excellent communication and people skills.
10. An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
