We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Controller to join our dynamic finance team in the fast-paced and ever-evolving finance industry. As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of financial operations, including month-end close, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, budgeting and forecasting, M&A, GAAP compliance, multi-site audit, multi-site accounting, ad-hoc reporting, and more. This is a permanent position that offers tremendous growth opportunities and the chance to make a significant impact on our organization's financial success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring proper recording and classification of all financial transactions
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Maintain fixed assets register and ensure proper recording and depreciation of assets
- Develop and manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to drive financial performance
- Play a key role in M&A activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, and integration of acquired entities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards
- Coordinate and oversee multi-site audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support decision-making and strategic initiatives
- Preferred CPA designation and management experience required
- Experience with Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting and ERP implementation highly preferred
- Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
- Oversee payroll and collections processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar finance role
- Strong knowledge and experience in month-end close, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, budgeting and forecasting, M&A, GAAP compliance, multi-site audit, multi-site accounting, ad-hoc reporting, and more
- CPA designation preferred
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team
- Experience with Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting and ERP implementation highly preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
