Job Title: Manufacturing Controller
Location: San Fernando (Onsite)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manufacturing Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cost accounting and the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish. This role will oversee costing, payroll, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP) functions, ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency within our manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial activities within the manufacturing operation, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems to ensure accurate product costing and efficient tracking of expenditures.
- Manage payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely compensation for employees.
- Supervise accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions, including timely invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
- Provide financial reporting and insights to support strategic business decisions.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
- Manage inventory controls and reconcile inventory variances.
- Partner with operations teams to monitor and improve production efficiency and cost management.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present financial statements to executive leadership.
- Mentor and lead the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
- Experience overseeing payroll, AR, and AP functions.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
