Your day as a Controller

What you need to be successful
To thrive as a Controller at Fraser Industries, you will need a robust set of skills and qualifications. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication, both written and verbal, across the organization. Strong analytical and organizational skills will enable you to navigate complex financial data and present findings clearly.
A solid foundation in general ledger accounting and account reconciliation is crucial, along with a detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in all financial reports. Proficiency in accounting systems, particularly Viewpoint, and advanced Excel skills are highly desirable. A deep understanding of internal controls and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is vital for maintaining compliance and driving financial integrity.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a Certified Public Accountant designation preferred. A minimum of eight to ten years of experience in financial management-especially within construction or manufacturing-is required to succeed in this role.
