We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a pivotal role that requires a hands-on approach and a strategic mindset. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting. This role is critical in executing our company's strategy and enabling the sustainable growth of our business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations within the company, including the development and management of budgets, preparation of financial statements and reporting to the company’s executive committee.
- Implement and maintain all necessary internal controls, including cost accounting, to safeguard the company's assets.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure that project budgets are adhered to and financial goals are met.
- Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.
- Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies.
- Manage team of financial controllers and financial analysts.
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives.
- Manage relationships with partners and investors.
- Utilize Sage software for various accounting operations, including construction accounting, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a financial management role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using Sage software and other financial management software.
- Knowledge of civil construction processes and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in effectively communicating financial information to non-financial managers.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
