Key Responsibilities of the Controller

• General Ledger & Financial Reporting: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger; prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Finance & Banking Duties: Manage banking relationships, cash flow, and financial forecasting.
• Payroll Oversight: Supervise payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations.
• Point of Sales & Ordering System: Monitor and manage the point of sales electronic ordering system for efficiency and data accuracy.
• Shipping & Customer Fulfillment: Collaborate with operations to ensure on-time shipping and delivery.
• OSHA Implementation: Oversee and enforce OSHA compliance programs.

Preferred Qualifications of the Controller

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with payroll systems and point of sales platforms is a plus.
