The Opportunity:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company s financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and compliance, while contributing to its continued growth. This role involves collaborating with operations and franchise teams to establish and maintain strong financial processes.

What You ll Be Doing:

• Manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reporting, and lead audits and tax filings
• Develop, implement, and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, providing actionable insights
• Perform variance analysis to evaluate financial performance against budgets and forecasts
• Partner with leadership to develop and review franchise financial models and systems
• Support and oversee financial reporting processes for franchisees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency
• Manage cash flow and optimize financial resources across corporate and franchise operations, including tracking construction expenses and lease agreements
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
• Partner with department leaders to align financial goals and drive cross-functional collaboration
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisors

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
• CPA certification highly desired
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry
• Experience with multi-unit operations and franchising is highly desired
• Proficient in financial systems and technology; experience with ERP implementation is highly desired
• Knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance standards
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proven leadership management and team-building abilities
• Remote or hybrid
