Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
- Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with CEO, CFO and other executive management team.
- Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Oversee the continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.
- Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
- In conjunction with the CFO, coordinate all audit prep activities.
- Study long-range economic trends and project their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP.
- Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and databases.
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a strategic focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
