About the Company:
A nonprofit, Christian-based organization is seeking a full-time Controller in Columbus, Ohio. This organization is dedicated to providing compassion and care globally, aiming to offer tangible help and lasting hope to those in need. The Controller will report to the VP of Operations and Finance and manage financial reporting, accounting operations, and tax compliance to support the organization's mission. Key Responsibilities of the Controller:

• Lead a team of 9-10 staff in accounting, payroll, donor services, and international functions.
• Oversee general ledger, account reconciliations, monthly close, budgeting, and audits.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reports including monthly statements and annual budgets.
• Manage the budget and financial oversight for a multi-use campus.
• Assist the CFO with financial analyses, special projects, investments, real estate, and foreign exchange management.
• Coordinate audits and prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Implement GAAP-compliant financial procedures.
• Ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance across financial processes.
• Provide financial operations support during biennial events.

Qualifications of the Controller:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance related field
• CPA required
• 5+ years of experience, ideally in nonprofit or religious organizations
• Previous leadership experience in finance or accounting roles
• Audit experience preferred
