About the Job
We are supporting one of our clients in Miami, FL with their search for a Controller. Full time, permanent hire, on-site Miami, up to $220k DOE.
Opportunity
Help define the future operating infrastructure, including new systems implementation and scalability
Challenge existing processes and controls; propose solutions to streamline processes and strengthen the control environment
Prepare and maintain the books and records of the various subsidiaries, including journal entries, bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation
Perform and oversee all accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
Help manage cash efficiently to ensure company always has sufficient working capital to run the business
Identify and research complex accounting issues, including consolidation, construction contracts, capitalization of expenses, revenue recognition, etc.
File sales and use tax, property tax and other compliance activities
Help optimize the capital structure, (i.e., debt versus equity, tax‐exempt bonds, project finance, recourse/non‐recourse debt, etc.)
Exposure to various banking relationships and counterparties, (i.e., investment banks, commercial banks, etc.) ‐ FP&A or transaction or project modeling and scenario analysis, (i.e., new projects, business plans, etc.)
Prepare annual budgets and monitor actual performance against budget
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for management and the Board of Directors
Qualifications (Preferred)
Bachelors degree in Accounting
Minimum of 5 years experience
CPA (Tax background a benefit)
SEC Reporting Experience
Strong Excel Skills
Technology Savvy
