FlyUSA, an EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) Company, is one of the fastest growing, private aviation providers in the industry. Well established in Florida, we are currently expanding into multiple new markets across the United States. To accommodate this growth, we are looking for a Controller to lead our accounting team. Position Summary:
This Controller position is a newly created role reporting to the Chief Financial Officer in which we are looking for the right leader to oversee the accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, developing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, and utilizing financial systems and technology to streamline accounting processes. Additionally, the role will be responsible for managing the general ledger, overseeing internal controls, tax support, and providing leadership to the accounting team.

Core Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure all financial reports are accurate, timely, and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements, consulting with our tax advisor.
- Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure policies and procedures are in place to minimize financial risks.
- Identify areas of potential risk and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Foster a collaborative, results-oriented work culture that aligns with company goals.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
- Utilize financial systems and technology to streamline accounting processes.
- Ensure compliance with all tax reporting and filing requirements.
- Work closely with tax advisor(s) to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Work closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives that impact the financial health of the organization.
Requirements:
Someone that is passionate about automating manual processes and implementing technology that improves both customer and employee experience.
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA license is required
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in a public accounting firm and/or in a corporate setting, with exposure to both financial and managerial accounting.
- Experience with ERP systems. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Great Plains preferred.
- Go getter who is willing to get their hands dirty.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

- Pay range: $115,000/yr - $125,000/yr plus performance bonus
