We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Controller with a strong financial background and strategic mindset. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This position is critical to the overall financial health of our organization and requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of business strategies and excellent leadership skills. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity and fiscal health of our organization.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee all financial operations of the company, including disbursements, general ledger, accounts payable, and invoices.
2. Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
3. Lead and coordinate audits, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
4. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control.
5. Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly and annual statements.
6. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and bookkeeping software to maintain accurate records and financial reports.
7. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
8. Leverage Tyler ERP Pro to streamline and automate financial management processes.
9. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
10. Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a mid to senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel, and experience with bookkeeping software.
4. Expertise in using Tyler ERP Pro for financial management and reporting.
5. Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
6. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
7. Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities.
8. Strong communication and presentation skills.
9. Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
10. High attention to detail and accuracy, ability to direct and supervise.
