Corporate Controller
A rapidly growing food and beverage company located in the Greater Boston area is seeking to bring on a Controller to their growing team. As the Controller, you will supervise a team and be responsible for the general accounting, financial reporting, AP/AR, cash management, inventory, and payroll. We are seeking experienced accounting professionals who have a positive attitude, strong teamwork, and possess leadership qualities. This opportunity is on-site 5days/week, will offer up to $125,000 on a base (DOE), plus a bonus, and excellent benefits.

As the Controller, you will supervise a team and be responsible for the general accounting, financial reporting, AP/AR, cash management, inventory, and payroll. We are seeking experienced accounting professionals who have a positive attitude, strong teamwork, and possess leadership qualities. Responsibilities:
- Maintain Accounting policies and procedures, implement controls over accounting transactions
- Ownership of the monthly close process (preparation of financial statements, journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliations)
- Responsible for various government (local, state, federal) reporting such as: Sales &
Use Tax Return Filings, U.S. Census/Economic Bureau reporting, property tax reporting,
etc. - Oversee periodic financial reports, ensure results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts, reports significant budget differences to management
- Provides financial analysis, capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
- Lead annual audits (quarterly, annual etc.)
- Initiate and lead continuous process improvements (analyzing current procedures and
recommend changes, etc.) - Assist with credit card dispute research and resolution
- Comply with local, state, and federal government requirements
- Support CFO and ownership as needed
- BA degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- 7-10 years of strong accounting experience, 3+ years within a supervisor position
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and practices of accrual accounting
- Advanced experience in all Microsoft business applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and strong ERP skillset and understand of system process flows
- Must be willing to be onsite 5 days/week
