Position Overview: The Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial and accounting operations of the company. This individual will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information, implement and maintain effective financial controls, and provide strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans and support financial decision-making.
• Lead and manage the accounting team, providing mentorship and development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a controller or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
