Chief Financial Offer
Job Summary: The primary purpose of this role is to direct and manage the organization's accounting operations, financial activities, and administrative systems.
Essential Functions:
- Directly prepare all financial reports, including budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports to governmental agencies.
- Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing and administrative system.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and investment transactions, preparing reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry best practices, and state and federal regulations.
- Assist and oversee annual financial and 401(k) reviews, working with external third-party administrators and auditors.
- Manage the investment of funds and cash management, maintaining relationships with bankers.
- Facilitate and oversee support for financial and administrative systems and applications, ensuring effective user support.
- Ensure projects and tasks are completed within specifications, on time, and within budget.
- Review contracts, agreements, and business legal documents for validity and compliance.
- Engage and consult with legal and professional support when required.
- Manage product pricing and margins according to organizational processes and procedures.
- Upgrade, implement, and test the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Compare sales profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses, making necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Collaborate closely with senior management to coordinate planning and establish priorities.

- Proficiency in database and accounting computer application systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain budgets and forecasts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Power BI and pivot tables.
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to comply with safety policies, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly work area.
Education / Experience / License:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in financial management within a manufacturing industry required.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Process industry experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with no major driving violations.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers; handle and feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Work Environment:
- This position operates in an office setting. The noise level is usually moderate.
Work Schedule:
- This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, first shift. Adjustments to this schedule may be required as necessary.
