We are in search of a Permanent Copy of Controller to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to apply their financial expertise in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. They will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.
- Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
- Collaborate with management to establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division and cash flow by division.
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
- Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
- Coordinate and prepare annual audits.
- Analyze complex financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- A minimum of three years of experience as a controller or in a similar role is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience in the medical industry is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, including technical forms and financial reports.
- Proven experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Strong business acumen, strategic planning, and execution skills.
