Controller - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

About the Job
Day to day :
- Manage daily accounting operations and staff.
- Prepare and assess financial statements and cash flow projections.
- Ensure accuracy of financial records and reports.
- Generate daily cash flow summaries.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
- Coordinate external audits and submit timely reports.
- Aid in annual tax filings.
- Collaborate on annual budgetin
- Offer financial insights for strategic decisions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Execute electronic fund transfers and ACH transactions.
- Review exceptions and approve transactions.
- Develop and implement accounting controls and policies.
- Assist in preparing financial materials for board meetings.
- Collaborate with various teams on ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 7+ years of financial management experience, nonprofit sector preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in Financial Edge and Excel.
- Experience with Los Angeles County DMH contracts required.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to enhance systems and exercise sound business judgment.
