Job Title: Corporate Controller
Position Overview:
We are currently partnering with a valued client to assist in the recruitment of a Corporate Controller. The Corporate Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance with regulations, and strategic financial planning. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact on the company's success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management: Lead all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
2. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.
3. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
4. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing effective controls and procedures.
5. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
6. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and drive performance improvement initiatives.
7. Audit and Taxation: Coordinate audit and taxation activities, liaising with external auditors and tax advisors as necessary.
8. Process Improvement: Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
9. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial performance, trends, and insights to stakeholders, including executive leadership, board of directors, and external partners.
10. Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake ad hoc projects and initiatives as required to support the overall success of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, GAAP, and financial analysis.
- Experience in the construction or manufacturing industry preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office suite.
