We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dynamic team. The CFO will play a key role in the company's strategic decision-making process while ensuring the financial sustainability of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, planning, sales tax, strategy, controls, disbursement, purchase orders, cash, payroll, and tax. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably within the grocery or retail industry.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations of the company including budgeting, financial forecasting, and negotiations.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall goals.
3. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
4. Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.
5. Supervise the finance department to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.
6. Manage company funds, oversee the issuance of financial information, and coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.
7. Oversee the payroll system and monthly payroll processes.
8. Ensure the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
9. Work closely with the executive team to share reports and analysis findings, as well as to develop strategies to solve financial challenges.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.
3. Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
4. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
6. Able to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
7. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
8. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
9. Professional certification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
10. Experience in the grocery industry is highly desirable.
11. Strong analytical, decision-making, and management skills.
12. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
