Position Overview
We are a growing power generation company seeking a skilled Controller to oversee all financial aspects of our business. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and managing the accounting team to drive effective financial management and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
- Develop and monitor budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Oversee cost accounting and variance analysis
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to enhance their skills and performance
- Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations
- Proficiency in Quickbooks and other accounting software
- Experience in cost accounting and financial analysis
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
