Job Details
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
- Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to identify trends and provide actionable insights to management.
- Supervise the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, adherence to accounting principles, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyze financial statements, general ledger entries, and reconciliations to maintain strong financial controls.
- Implement and improve procedures (or processes) across software systems to enhance cash flow management.
- Prepare and present financial reporting and potential risk areas to senior management.
- Oversee both internal and external payroll and tax accounting records and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years experience (construction related preferable, not required)
- CPA or CA Certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with Quickbooks
- Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
- Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
