What the Controller will do:
- Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and reconciliations for monthly close, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Analyze variances and changes on the Balance Sheet and Income Statement, providing explanations and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
- Manage the month-end close process, overseeing timely completion of all financials and maintaining internal control standards.
- Supervise accounting department, maintaining excellence in processes, and aligning department goals with upper management.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, while handling other assigned projects and assisting in defining departmental policies and procedures.
What the company needs in a Controller:
- 7+ years of general ledger experience in a mid-size to large company
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA required
- Experience supervising a team
- Ability to communicate effectively, out-going, team oriented
