Job Details
Our Controller’s responsibilities include building and leading a team to manage the company’s general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, treasury and tax functions.

Corporate Controller Responsibilities:
- Build a strong, values-driven team culture for the department. Manage, mentor and develop a staff of 5 (potential to add 2-3 headcount in next 12-18 months) in the areas of general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, treasury and tax
- Lead the monthly close process, ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Provide internal customer service and accounting guidance to mental health workforce. In this role you will, interact with our clinicians to resolve their questions about payroll, as well as coordinate with seller providers on deferred payments, profit shared, etc.
- Implement, evaluate, document and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures and controls
- Assist in implementation and enhancement of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and processes
- Manage cash flow and treasury services, working closely with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team and Accounts Payable to effectively and efficiently manage cash consolidated financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Oversee risk management and insurance programs
- Responsible for annual audit fieldwork and interface with external auditors and with
- Research & interpret GAAP issues & draft technical accounting memos
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Corporate Controller
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years of progressive and relevant accounting experience
- Extensive hands-on accounting & financial reporting experience required, particularly in a multi-site retail or healthcare environment preferred
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- System/ERP implementation experience required, Workday experience a plus
- Ability to work under pressure, often in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior attention to detail
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of successfully managing staff and developing accounting processes

- Understanding of capital structure/credit agreements
- Professional experience working with a private equity board
- Experience with a multisite, healthcare provider
- Experience with acquisition integration, such as transferring payroll, AP, and accounting system
