We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, growing organization with a focus on financial strategy and planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our organization, providing leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts of the company.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations of the company including budgeting, financial forecasting, and negotiations.
2. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
3. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
4. Establish and maintain financial controls, ensuring that the highest level of ethical standards are upheld in all financial transactions.
5. Prepare and present financial reports and metrics to the Board of Directors and senior management team.
6. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all financial regulations.
7. Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
8. Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.
9. Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
10. Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
11. Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting role.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is REQUIRED.
3. Proven experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
5. Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
6. Experience with financial reporting requirements.
7. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
8. Solid understanding of financial software and MS Office.
9. Strong knowledge of financial legislation, regulation, and practices.
10. Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations, etc.)
11. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
12. Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to develop and mentor a team.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audience.
14. Strong strategic planning and business development skills, with the ability to align financial management with company’s short and long-term objectives.
