Salary: $110,000 - $155,000 per year

Our client, a growing construction firm, is seeking a Controller to join its team.

Responsibilities
1. Overseeing all financial operations of the firm, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
2. Preparing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
3. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including AIA guidelines.
4. Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Monitoring and analyzing financial performance and providing recommendations to improve profitability.
6. Managing budgeting and forecasting processes, including setting financial targets and developing budget plans.
7. Coordinating with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits.
8. Collaborating with senior management to make strategic financial decisions.
9. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls to minimize risk.
10. Providing financial guidance and support to other departments within the firm.
Job Details
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 2 years of project cost accounting experience within construction industry.
3. Proficiency in AIA and other relevant financial regulations and standards.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
5. Excellent financial analysis and forecasting skills.
6. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
7. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
10. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
