We are working with an organization that has multiple US subsidiaries, and their corporate is here in the Minneapolis area. They are looking to add a Controller to their team, and this organization has an exceptional culture where they support their employees in continuous learning. This is a highly visible role within the organization and does work very closely with the CFO and the CEO. In addition, this Controller will have 3 direct reports to mentor and oversee.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTROLLER:

• Perform the Controller’s monthly financial closing duties, such as; preparing accrual entries, entering monthly requisitions, reconciling ledger accounts, and preparing internal financial statements
• Development/mentoring of accounting staff
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process
• The Controller manages the monthly preparation of bank and investment reconciliations
• Prepare the financial statements for year end financial audit
• Provide leadership in driving continued process efficiencies/automation
• Prepare all tax reporting requirements on a regular basis
• The Controller will support additional ad-hoc projects as requested

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS CONTROLLER OPPORTUNITY:

• BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA is a plus
• 5+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience
• Solid understanding of accounting processes and procedures as well as US GAAP
• ERP system experience
• Strong Excel skills
