- Requires a Bachelor's degree in finance or business, with a major emphasis in finance or accounting.
- Minimum of 10 years related financial/controller leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Location/Plant Controller experience for a manufacturing facility with at least $150 million in annual sales. Must have functioned as a senior manager, reporting to the business unit head and at least 2 year's supervisory experience with the ability to manage and develop Staff (Financial, Payroll and Operational).
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP, with solid analytical and strategic planning skills.
- High proficiency in using MS Office software, experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or similar systems, project management, multi-tasking, and developing/executing data queries. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, CMA and/or CPA
- Strong cost accounting skills - Multi level Routing and Bill of material Cost Accounting Experience.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $185,000.Howmet Fastening Systems is seeking a Controller for our Fullerton, CA site.
Accountable for supporting the Director of Operations in the development of financial plans and forecasts and the analysis of operational results. Provide leadership and direction to the finance department staff. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Location's business and related issues and maintain ongoing communications with HFS headquarters finance organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial accountability for two separate manufacturing facilities located on the same site
- Perform forecasts, profit and COGS analysis, cost management, inventory control, capital investment requests, working capital, and all financial reporting requirements.
- Function as an integral part of the facility leadership team and business partner to the Director of Operations.
- Develop appropriate accounting, analysis and reporting formats, procedures/policies, and schedules to support the reporting and analysis process.
- Participate in ABS/TPS initiatives and serve as the key source for improvements and waste elimination in facility administrative functions.
- Prepare and present narratives, graphs, and other reports as required to support business reviews management and customer presentations.
- Identifying key levers to drive business improvement and providing leadership to ensure implementation of business improvement opportunities.
- Co-ordination of the capital appropriation process and post-project reviews.
- Determine, in conjunction with plant management, targeted goals for performance measures of quality, productivity, delivery, cycle time, inventory optimization and profitability.
- Complying with Howmet and business unit financial reporting requirements and ensuring completion of Howmet's Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controls.
- Strong organizational/analytical and decision-making skills in relation to managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a high pressure/high intensity environment.
- Ability to dig for details and work on challenging projects.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner to non-finance personnel.
