Job Details
This role includes the responsibility for accurate financial reporting and maintaining the organization's financial health. You will also lead the preparation and oversight of all financial accounting activities including monthly and quarterly reporting. Additionally, you will support and enhance the ERP system, driving improved processes and system capabilities for real-time information and reporting quality.
Responsibilities:
Leadership
Provide leadership, coaching, and problem-solving assistance to the finance shared services team.
Collaborate with finance team members, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of financial objectives and project goals.
Provide guidance and coaching to the project controllers.
Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Financial Management
Oversee and manage month-end, quarterly and annual accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions.
Implement controls and checks to ensure accurate recording of transactions and safeguarding of assets.
Participate in external audits as the direct point of contact with our auditors.
Maintain and update accounting policies and support cash management.
Provide regular updates on financial status to stakeholders and senior management.
Cost Control and Analysis
Implement and maintain cost control processes to ensure financials remain within budget.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
Analyze monthly financials and provide analysis for any variances.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Monitor financial performance and adjust forecasts as necessary to reflect changes in project scope or conditions.
Working closely with the Director of Finance and Director of FP&A, participate in budget formulation and adoption, collaborating with department leaders and Finance leadership to draft and approve budgets.
Compliance and Auditing
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and project contracts.
Ensure compliance with Sales and Use Tax in the states with which we do business.
Collaborate with our Tax consultants to ensure annual returns are filed on a timely basis.
Systems
Support continuous improvement of the ERP system and automated integration with IT systems.
Leverage technology to enhance financial processes and information delivery.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience
CPA Professional Designation required.
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a Controller or senior accounting management role.
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong knowledge of economic and accounting principles, banking, financial data analysis and IFRS.
Project accounting experience and/or project accounting principles in accordance with IFRS 15.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate across various levels of the organization.
Proficient with ERP systems, ideally with demonstrated experience in NetSuite/Oracle.
Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Competencies
Driven, with a sense of purpose and urgency.
Highly interactive, collaborative, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous process improvement and enhance system functionality.
