Job Details
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage month end close process for 3 to 4 agency locations including review of P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare quarterly and annual bank reports including covenant calculations.
Partner with FP&A team to provide meaningful insight into segment analytics.
Serves as the lead for technical accounting memos for all complex, corporate, or non-standard transactions (i.e., acquisitions, goodwill, lease accounting)
Consolidation of financial results and preparation of internal and external reporting package.
Coordinate annual audits with various Spectrum entities making sure that audit requirements are submitted on time.
Prepare audited financial statements including supporting documentation.
Coordinate requirements by tax accountants for quarterly and annual tax filings.
Review tax notices and follow ups with tax accountants for final resolutions.
Work closely with insurance brokers for various business insurance needs including renewals and audits.
Lead various initiatives to drive Spectrum controllership process improvements and transformation.
Education and Experience:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance.
Experience in preparing audited financial statements
4+ years of progressive accounting experience with proven track record
Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs.
Strong leadership skills with good work ethic, positive attitude, and attention to detail & accuracy.
Excellent critical and strategic thinking
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Perform accurately in a fast-paced, goal-based environment, and ability to adapt to a growing business
Excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
