Vaco Boston has partnered with a leading manufacturing company north of Boston. Currently we are looking for a proven Controller to join our team. This role requires Manufacturing experience and prefers a candidate who has experience with POC. Please reach out for immediate consideration.
The Financial Controller is responsible for driving financial strategy, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring the company's financial health. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and a proven ability to manage complex financial processes in a manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Financial Oversight – Manage the financial reporting process for manufacturing operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Cost Management - Analyze manufacturing costs and develop strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Performance Metrics – Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and financial health.
• Internal Controls – Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaboration – Partner with operations and production teams to provide financial insights that support decision-making and operational improvements.
• Reporting – Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Audit Coordination – Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
• Knowledge of manufacturing financial operations, cost accounting, and inventory management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with a collaborative approach to solving problems; exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
