Our client is seeking a Controller to join their successful electrical construction company with a high standard of service excellence and commitment to safety.

- Opportunity to build, support and grow the accounting department in partnership with the Executive team on strategic initiatives, M&A, and organic growth initiatives.

As the Controller, you'll work closely with the Owners and be accountable for the accounting operations of the company. This includes the production of financial reports, maintenance of a system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
In this role, you'll have oversight of all monthly accounting transactions and processes, human resources, technology, and payroll responsibilities. You'll play an integral part in the planning and preparation of the annual company budget and assist with the preparation of periodic financial forecasts for the purpose of the Executive Team
As the Controller, you'll have the opportunity to evaluate new technology and/or software applications to meet the organization's financial data processing, control, and reporting requirements. You'll work closely with the Owners on software upgrades and incorporate enhancements toward efficiencies in the finance area.
Qualifications of the Controller:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance
- Experience in construction or trades industry or related field is preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise preferred
Compensation $120k - $145k depending upon experience. Annual bonus potential and benefits provided.
