Job Details:
We are currently seeking a Permanent Controller with an active CPA to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations. This position involves high-level consolidation and reconciliation tasks, preparing financial statements, and ensuring tax compliance. The candidate will also be involved in auditing, advising the board, and ensuring GAAP and SOX compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute their skills and knowledge to a thriving company.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations of the company, including consolidations and reconciliations.
2. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in line with GAAP.
3. Ensure the company is in compliance with all tax laws and regulations and handle all tax filings.
4. Conduct internal audits to assess financial status and ensure compliance with SOX.
5. Advise the board on financial forecasts, budgeting, and potential investments.
6. Oversee month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
7. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
8. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
9. Provide strategic financial advisory to the top management for key business decisions.
10. Monitor and analyze financial performance and report any potential risks or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
3. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
4. Solid knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.
5. Proven experience with financial consolidation, reconciliation, and tax compliance.
6. Proficient in auditing and creating comprehensive financial statements.
7. Exceptional knowledge of financial data analysis and forecasting.
8. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team.
9. Excellent communication skills to effectively advise the board and other stakeholders.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
