We are a healthcare organization looking for a Controller level consultant (open to direct hire) in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is mainly in office with some flexibility.
Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract to hire Controller to join our finance team. This is a contract-to-hire position, offering an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to contribute to our organization's financial operations and strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, month-end close, inventory accounting, GAAP, fixed assets, collections, and dashboard creation. Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not mandatory. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support our organization's objectives.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
2. Manage inventory accounting, ensuring accurate valuation and cost analysis.
3. Ensure compliance with GAAP in all financial operations and reporting.
4. Manage fixed assets accounting, including depreciation schedules and asset disposal.
5. Oversee collections activities, ensuring timely recovery of receivables.
6. Create and maintain financial dashboards, providing clear and actionable financial insights for decision-making.
7. Participate in strategic planning, providing financial forecasts and analysis to support decision-making.
8. Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity and compliance.
9. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
10. Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of five years of experience in a financial management role, with a proven track record of success.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
4. Experience with inventory accounting and fixed assets management.
5. Proficient in collections processes and strategies.
6. Experience in creating and maintaining financial dashboards.
7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
8. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
9. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and persuasively to non-financial stakeholders.
10. Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not mandatory.
11. Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
12. CPA certification is a plus.
