We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller in the Construction sector for the Finance industry. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, thriving organization where your expertise will be utilized to oversee the financial operations of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Internal Controls. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's financial success.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations including accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and financial reporting.
2. Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly and annual statements.
3. Develop and implement effective financial strategies, controls, and processes to enhance the overall financial performance.
4. Conduct regular financial analysis, prepare detailed budgets, and make recommendations to optimize financial performance.
5. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
6. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
7. Collaborate with the management team to strategize on financial planning and budgeting.
8. Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
9. Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
10. Evaluate and manage project financial risks, and ensure all financial operations are conducted in a cost-effective manner.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Internal Controls.
4. Proven experience in managing financial operations, creating budgets, and forecasting financial trends.
5. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
7. Proficiency in financial software and databases.
8. Strong understanding of financial laws and regulations in the construction industry.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
