Our dynamic manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and driven Permanent Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, providing strategic financial input to senior management, and ensuring the company's financial policies are in compliance with regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to take the helm of our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Controller, you will:
1. Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2. Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities.
4. Collaborate with the executive management team to establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
5. Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation.
6. Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
7. Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven record of success.
3. Solid experience in compliance, budgeting, audit, tax, and all aspects of financial management.
4. Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
5. Proficient in MS Office Suite and financial management software. Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems would be an advantage.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with an ability to inspire team members.
7. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail—ability to analyze large amounts of data and maintain high precision.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
9. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
10. Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments.
