We have a client in Cleveland, OH seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join there finance team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making as we continue to scale.

Direct Hire

Salary: $160k - $180k plus a 15% bonus potential

Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, providing insight into business performance.
Monitor cash flow, identify potential risks, and provide recommendations for improvements.
Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support as needed.
Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and accounting best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 4 years in a managerial or controller role.
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and managing cash flow.
