Overview
The Controller will be instrumental in advancing the accounting and finance functions, with a focus on optimizing the ERP system (NetSuite) and potentially upgrading the WMS. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional eager to contribute to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and drive impactful change.
Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee the period-end GL close and reporting processes for both domestic and international entities.
- Reporting: Deliver monthly financial reports to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare OPEX, CAPEX, and departmental forecasts; monitor and report EBITDA.
- Team Management: Supervise external accounting services, in-house accountants, and payroll activities.
- Internal Controls: Lead the development and implementation of financial controls in preparation for audits.
- Systems Optimization: Collaborate with IT to optimize ERP systems and streamline workflows across departments.
- Tax Planning: Coordinate with external accountants for tax planning and ensure compliance with filing requirements.
- Inventory & Cost Management: Manage inventory audits and cost control measures for domestic and international 3PLs.
- Insurance Administration: Administer domestic and international insurance policies.
- Compliance: Stay updated on accounting principles and ensure adherence to new guidance and regulations.
Education:
- CPA preferred.
- 5 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in high-growth e-commerce settings.
- ERP systems (NetSuite), e-commerce platforms (Shopify)
- GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance procedures.
