About
the Role:

The ideal candidate will have experience
in a management role in a manufacturing environment with domestic and
internationally based customers, suppliers, and employees. This person will
report to the Director of Finance and be hands-on in the oversight of financial
accounting & reporting, payroll, treasury, credit & collections, cost
accounting and payables activities within the group, and will be involved in
implementing & maintaining financial controls, streamlining financial &
reporting processes, and the development of financial information to help
improve operational efficiency.
What
You’ll Do:
- ·
Responsible for oversight of the
day-to-day, month end and year-end financial activities of the Finance group
and for the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and monthly
reporting package. This includes the co-ordination of the annual external audit
and communication with the auditors. - ·
Establish, monitor, and maintain systems
of internal controls appropriate to the organization’s size and structure.
Communicate and educate across locations to promote understanding of
procedures, practices, policies, and ensure consistency. - ·
Monitor cash and working capital
balances. Maintain treasury systems and ensure efficient daily banking
processes and procedures are in place. Ensure supplier payments are completed
in a timely, efficient manner to optimize negotiated terms and discounts. - ·
Manage customer credit, administer
credit insurance levels, and maintain DSO at target levels. Work closely with
customers and the sales & customer service teams to enhance customer
relationships while managing the Company’s credit risk. - ·
Manage and guide cost accountants and
provide oversight of inventory costing for quotations and inventory standard
cost system including processes for ensuring accuracy of inventory routings and
structures, cycle counts, reserves, and intercompany inventory transactions. - ·
Ensure efficient payroll processes are
in place to ensure timely processing, accuracy of multi-currency,
multi-jurisdictional payments, and compliance with local taxation authorities. - ·
Manage, motivate, and coach Finance
group members to ensure a cohesive team that provides timely and relevant,
comprehensive financial information to management to support decision making
and facilitate profitable business growth. - ·
Establish, implement, and track progress
of accounting key performance indicators (KPI). - ·
Provide leadership in defining and
governing cross functional KPIs with high impact on financial performance
(i.e., operating expenses relative to sales).
Our
Ideal Candidate:
Education and Experience
- ·
Minimum of 5
experience in a senior accounting role with management experience within the
manufacturing industry. - ·
Bachelor’s
degree in accounting, CPA or equivalent - ·
Experience
with leveraging ERP and other business reporting systems to analyze KPI trends. - ·
Experience in
IFS (or manufacturing ERP systems) and analytical systems (Power BI, Tableau,
etc.) would be a definite asset.
Required Skills and Abilities

Strong
aptitude for reporting, process and ERP based systems and methods. - ·
Ability to
lead and motivate others and remotely manage staff located at other facilities - ·
Ability to
travel to other locations in the US and Canada as needed.
