We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team in the Manufacturing sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to a thriving company by overseeing all financial and accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, cost accounting, forecasting, and internal controls. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including preparing financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
2. Direct financial strategy, planning, and forecasts; conferring with the executive management team and other managerial staff to understand and advise on the financial implications of business activities.
3. Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company.
4. Supervise investment and cash management strategies, while making recommendations for improvements as needed.
5. Implement and uphold the organization's internal controls to manage and reduce risk.
6. Analyze complex financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and projecting future performance.
7. Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls. Ensure all audit issues are resolved, and all compliance issues are met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with U.S. GAAP and federal, state and other required supplementary schedules and information.
8. Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the CEO/President, the Board and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.
3. Extensive knowledge and experience in financial management, cost accounting, forecasting, and internal controls.
4. Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and experience in a manufacturing environment.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial colleagues.
6. Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
7. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and financial reporting software.
8. Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
9. Ability to work closely with a senior management team with the highest levels of integrity and professionalism.
