FeatherShark is looking for a Controller/Business Manager to lead the finance and business management areas of the company as we continue our rapid growth.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reports to the CEO
- Participate in the Leadership Team as the Finance Lead
- Participate in Quarterly and Annual strategic planning for the company
- Provide the leadership team with financial, operational, and strategic analysis.
- Provide insight and perspective to senior leadership.
- Participate in the weekly leadership operational meeting.
- Financial Reporting
- Preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Preparation of management reports and KPIs
- Cash Management
- Manage A/R and A/P
- Create and manage internal controls to control expenses.
- Manage bank accounts and lines of credit.
- Budgeting
- Work with leadership to create the annual budget.
- Provide budget/actual and notify the team of variances and recommended actions.
- Tax Reporting
- Provide supporting documentation to our outside accountant to ensure that local, state, and federal taxes are filed in a timely manner.
- Work with our sales tax compliance partner to ensure the timely filing of sales taxes.
- Bookkeeping
- Manage accounting software system and invoicing system.
- Invoice clients accurately and timely.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Ensure that salesperson commissions are calculated accurately and processed in a timely manner.
- Oversee the Payroll and HR
- Ensure that payroll is processed in a timely manner by our PEO, Insperity.
- Assist with hiring and training of new employees.
- Manage the health insurance open enrollment process through our PEO.
- Manage employee files.
- Business management duties
- Maintain vendor files and contracts.
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting and/or licensure requirements and tax filings.
- Maintain office supplies.
- Work with landlord and cleaning service to maintain office space.
To qualify for consideration you must:
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or business-related field, or equivalent experience.
- CPA desirable.
- Have experience with business management, including accounting and human resources.
- Be a super-organized, "get it done" kind of person.
- Be a Self-starter with the ability to identify issues and resolve problems.
- Have powerful communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
- Have iron-clad confidentiality.
- Be an intensely curious, voracious learner, and able to grow rapidly with the company.
