Get ready to take your career to the next level! We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our fast-paced Accounting + Finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and manage the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory, manufacturing accounting, CPG, and private equity. With your expert financial understanding and strategic mindset, you will play a pivotal role in our company’s financial operations and decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
As our Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our company's financial and accounting functions, including regulatory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, audit, tax, and cash management. Your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results.
3. Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
4. Collaborating with the CFO in the development of budgets and financial forecasts and report variances.
5. Managing and tracking the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
6. Monitoring debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
7. Driving the budgeting process and implementing long-term business plans.
8. Overseeing the company's transaction processing systems and implementing operational best practices.
9. Supervising the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases, and financial software.
10. Providing leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will be a seasoned finance professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the Accounting + Finance industry. The following qualifications are required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA, CPA, or related designation is highly desirable.
2. Proven experience in inventory, manufacturing accounting, CPG, and private equity.
3. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
4. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
5. Able to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
6. Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
7. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
8. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
9. Professional certification such as CMA, CGA, or CPA is considered a plus.
