CONTROLLER
Our growing client has engaged Qualified Professional Technical in locating top talent to fill the critical role of Controller. They are a local family-owned commercial real estate company that has operated in our community for nearly 75 years, managing office and retail space across the entire Detroit and surrounding communities. Currently our client manages over one million square ft of property and is actively adding to their portfolio.
SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will offer experience in accounting from a commercial property perspective including budgets, bank reconciliation, job costing, General Ledger activities, etc. This person should be comfortable working within multiple banking institutions along with a variety of LLCs with A/P and A/R priorities. Responsibilities range from administrative oversight through to typical bookkeeping.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7.5+ years previous relevant experience in accounting
- Previous Accounting experience in commercial real estate business
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Preferred, Minimum AAS
- Accounts Receivable / Payable experience utilizing QuickBooks
- Experience creating and preparing financial statements
- Knowledge of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports
- Compliance/legal/accounting principles
- Knowledge with billing and tax documentation preparation
- Strong Excel / Spreadsheet application experience
